Last Opportunity to Register for 2018-19 Season without late fee
Submitted By jbrock on Friday, February 2, 2018
As you may or may not know that January 31/18 was the deadline for registration for the 2018/19 season.

There are a number  of people that have missed this registration deadline for one reason or an other. We at SMMHA ask for this registration early so that we can plan for our next season. We know everyone is busy and sometimes things get forgotten or missed. There are a lot of decisions that have to be made between now and September when the next season starts.

The registration numbers are very important for us to determine team sizes and number of teams at each level and also to know how many coaches we will need for these teams. The more accurate the numbers, the better a decision we can try to make for the next season.
The purpose of the $100 late fee is not to gouge people for extra money. It is to encourage people to register on time to allow us to make decisions for the next season. This has been the policy for many years and will continue to be the policy.
That being said, we are going to have one last opportunity to register without penalty.  This Tuesday, February 6th from 5:30-6:30pm in the End Zone will be your last opportunity to register without penalty. Myself and members of the Executive will be there to accept your registration.
I’m hoping this last registration will benefit everyone. It is important that SMMHA gets the numbers we need to make our decisions and that the people who missed out on an opportunity will not be penalized.

Sincerely, Chris Boyd - President of St.Marys Minor Hockey
