As the tragic events of this past weekend continue to resonate with people all across North America and beyond, we want to take a moment to send our deepest condolences to the teammates, family, friends and community members who lost loved ones in the  Humboldt Broncos accident this past Friday.

Hockey is more than a game. As active or passive participants in hockey, boys or girls, women or men, we are part of a community.  Whether you are the person playing, the person coaching, or the person helping out in innumerable other ways, hockey is the thread that stitches many communities, and at times, an entire nation together.

SMMHA will be hosting a free Body Checking Clinic for the 2005 Peewee boys who are  heading into Bantam next year.

There will be two clinics taking place.  The first is being held on Thursday April 12 at 7:15 on the Blue Rink. The second will be held on Friday April 13 at 7:15 on the Blue Rink. Theses are optional but players are strongly encouraged to participate, as Bantam hockey moves to full contact at the rep level.

Players may attend one or both, but again, it is recommended that they attend at least one of the sessions.

SMMHA teams win Shamrock playoff titles
SHL all-star games this Sunday in St. Marys

It’s been a great 2017-18 season for the St. Marys Minor Hockey Association! Three teams reached the OMHA finals, three girls teams are off to the Provincials in Toronto this weekend (Apr. 5-8), and five teams reached division finals in Shamrock League playoffs. Of the five SMMHA teams which reached the SHL finals, three of them were victorious and won the gold medals. The following is a summary of the five Shamrock finals. Read More

Dunny’s Atoms score three unanswered third-period goals Saturday in Port Elgin
