As we look to shut off the lights on another year, I want to thank our players, coaches, officials, and volunteers for another great season. St. Marys continues to ‘punch above its weight’ as a strong and proud hockey town!
The season was filled with solid regular season results, tournament victories, and tickets earned to provincial championships. Seeing players rally together in the heat of battle, while having fun is the real reason minor hockey exists.
Off the ice, our hockey players and families gave back to the community by supporting our local businesses and helping our charities. A big shout out to our local sponsors for their generous assistance which ensures all our players can enjoy Canada’s game.
Minor hockey is only successful because of our volunteers. A special thank you for all the time put in by our coaches, tournament volunteers, and committees. This appreciation extends to all the help delivering the annual Rep, local league, NBC, and WOGHL Championship tournaments. These tournaments are important as they get our youth and adults playing the game, raise funds for our program, bring profile and benefits to our community, and connect us socially.
The Board and Executive are busy with planning already underway for next season. Please consider volunteering to help make next season the best season yet.
We are excited to once again host our annual Rock Awards Night on Sunday, April 27 at the PRC. Looking forward to seeing everyone as we celebrate our season.
