Winter Sessions - Player Development Program
St. Mary's Minor Hockey is pleased to offer winter sessions as part of our Player Development Program.
Our Player Development Program is an opportunity for players to access sessions focused on supporting our players to become technically proficient, tactically aware, physically athletic, and mentally confident. The main goal is to maximize a player's potential and long term involvement in hockey!
The 2025-26 PDP is geared to different ages and skill levels to ensure players are maximizing these sessions as part of their development journey. From early stage learning fundamentals to later stage training to win, players will be exposed to sessions that will help maximize their potential and enjoyment of the game. Sessions will be planned and delivered over the season and led by skill-specific instructors. Sessions will include skills such as fundamentals, power skating, shooting, defensive tactics etc.
The winter sessions will include:
1. Power Skating U10-U18. This winter program (Jan-Mar) will be led by FPP and designed to help strengthen player skating skills. Open to 20 players.
2. Skills Development U10-U18. This winter program (Jan-Mar) will be led by MM and designed to help strengthen player technical skills. Open to 40 players.
Reminder, our U9 Player Development sessions and Goalie Development will continue until the end of the season.
For more information and registration details on the above, please refer to the Player Development Program webpage. Registration opens on 6AM Friday, December 19.
