Player Development Program
SMMHA is launching a Player Development program to provide members registered in our association the opportunity to participate in ice sessions designed to advance their individual skill development. 

The sessions will be run by a mix of instructors including:
- Melisa Becker (MB Power Skating) - NCCP Skating Coach
- Total Package Hockey (TPH) - https://www.totalpackagehockey.ca/ 
- and local coaches.


Ice Times:

Development ice will typically be scheduled 2-3 times per month on Saturday evenings from 5:45-7:15 pm.  The schedule for these ice times can be found on the SMMHA website under the Player Development Team calendar:   https://smmha.ca/Teams/1933/Calendar/  

Note: this schedule will be modified as ice time availability changes throughout the season.  

Signup Details:

Each ice time will be offered to a specific age category and is open to any registered SMMHA player. The Ice time will be split into 2-40 minute sessions allowing approximately 20 participants per session.  Signup for each ice-time will be done through a signup portal that can be found on the Player Development page on the SMMHA website. The signup portal will open at 7:00pm on the Monday before each session and will close on the Wednesday before each session at 11:59pm.

Oct 8th TPH – U9 & U11

Oct 15th MB Power Skating – U13 & U15

Oct 29th MB Power Skating – U9 & U11

Nov 12th MB Power Skating – U13 & U15

Dec 3rd TPH – U13 & U15

Dec 17th TPH – U9 & U11

Cost:

The cost per participant for each session will be $15.

Participants will receive a confirmation email approximately 24hrs after signup to notify them if they have a spot in a session or if they have been placed on a waiting list.  This email will have details on how to make an e-transfer to secure their spot for the session.
