SMMHA appreciates your interest in minor hockey coaching and we thank all the candidates for submitting an application. All coaching positions are considered “open” annually and all potential coaches, including previous coaches, must complete the application. Only those applicants qualified and under consideration will be invited for an interview.

Submission of the application will automatically go to the Chair, Coaches Committee for review and consideration by the full Coaches Committee. The Coaches Committee will consider all applications based on qualifications, experience, due diligence, and “best fit” for the team(s) and SMMHA. Reminder that submitting an application does not guarantee an interview.

All head coaches and coaching staff are required to uphold and abide by all rules, regulations and procedures set forth by the governing bodies (Associations and Leagues). Head Coaches further understand and agree that they assume ultimate responsibility for all team officials to have all the required qualifications and to conduct themselves according to the code of conduct policy. Failure to achieve these requirements may result in a suspension or removal from the team position at the sole discretion of the SMMHA and/or its governing bodies.
