Goalie Development Opportunity
As part of the SMMHA Player Development Program, we are pleased to offer an expanded goalie development opportunity.

SMMHA has partnered with Jake Patterson of Patterson Goaltending to offer sessions specifically designed to help goalies focus on details of skating and movements, in order to be as calm, simple, efficient, and quick as possible when moving in the crease.

Each session, goalies will be led through multiple different skating and movement drills led by Jake. Each week will have a different main focus including movement on their feet through T-pushes & shuffles, proper slides and recoveries, proper butterfly technique, as well as handling the puck. The drills will all have a high attention to detail through every repetition targeting efficiency, quickness, balance, control, patience, and calmness. Helping each goalie build good strong habits, leading to increased confidence and consistency in their movements and a strong foundation to elevate their overall game.

The sessions are open to all SMMHA Goalies U9 and above. Sessions will run bi-weekly with each group (up to 8 goalies) getting 4 on ice sessions between October 24 and December 19. The sessions will run Fridays 6:45-7:45AM. The cost of the program will be $180/per goalie.
