Important COVID-19 Update
Submitted By Rachael Torrance on Saturday, December 11, 2021
There is a strong possibility that the Omicron variant has been found in Huron-Perth and that it was present at the recent Pink on the Rink hockey tournament in South Huron. For more information, please read this notice from Huron Perth Public Health.

In light of this, we wish to remind all SMMHA members to remain extra vigilant and adhere to all COVID-19 protocols:

- Do not come to the arena if you feel unwell

- Masks must be worn at all times and can only be removed once your helmet is on

- Maintain a minimum of 6ft from people from outside of your household

- Please wash/sanitize your hands regularly

Please also note that when the Omicron variant may be present, Public Health protocols have changed. If you or a household member has been identified as a high risk contact of a suspected or confirmed Omicron variant, the rules for isolation have become more strict, even for fully vaccinated individuals. Be sure to follow HPPH instructions and be aware that extra-curriculars (including hockey) are not on the health unit's list of essential activities.
