Position of OMHA Registrar SMMHA  *needed to start right away

We are looking for someone to take over the position of OMHA Registrar to start in November to start planning for the next season. The retiring OMHA registrar Jen Switzer will help train the next person in this role.

This person must be willing to complete the following duties and responsibilities: 

*To ensure that every OMHA player in SMMHA is properly registered as per regulations set out by OMHA, and SMMHA policies.
* Comfortable being the admin for the OMHA online registration program, run reports as needed.
*work with the OWHA registrar and SMMHA exec. registration dates and fees for the following season.
*Field questions from parents needing assistance registering online, and any new families with the required information needed.
*Work with treasurer to audit payments with registrations.
* Maintain confidentiality when managing registration files (which include personal information and emails) and adhere to the SMMHA privacy policy regarding the distribution of player contact information.
*To compile player lists to submit to Coaches Committee and other SMMHA executive as required following registration and prior to tryouts/first skate evaluations.
*To be a confidential SMMHA contact for any players requiring financial assistance.
*work with U7 Committee to help new families with registering process.

Position of Ice Convenor SMMHA

We are looking for someone to take over the position of Ice Convenor to start as soon as available or in New Year. The retiring Ice Convenor Chris Boyd will assist training the next person in this role through the process of planning for next year’s season.

This person must be willing to complete the following duties and responsibilities:
* scheduling and retaining all ice times for SMMHA, delegating ice times for all teams.
*Communicate with the PRC staff, and SMMHA coaches to make notification of any changes to games, practices etc.
*attend ice user meetings with the PRC staff.
*Meet with PRC staff prior to the next season to negotiate contracted ice allocation, discuss ice costs.
*communicate with Coaches Committee about the registered number of teams to schedule team games and practices based on ice allocation and allotted ice per division.
*input all tryouts, practices, games, and tournaments for teams into website calendar. All ice times must be booked with the Ice Convenor.
* communicate with team coaches when more or less ice time is available.
*report to SMMHA meetings held the 1st Tues. of each month (or send a report).
