ROCK U15 BB’s win Roy Beechey Memorial Championship
Submitted By Rachael Torrance on Monday, October 25, 2021
The U15 BB squad put together a strong weekend and are off to a solid start with a championship win! The team had a goal to play hard each and every game and finish strong. All players showed up and played a strong team game from start to finish.

In the round robin play, the Rock dropped the opener 2-1 to Penetang despite carrying the play for most of the game. The boys got back on track with a 2-1 win against Lambeth. With only the top two teams moving on, the Rock needed a win to guarantee a spot. Facing the tournament host Tillsonburg and with a large crowd, the Rock played well, won 2-1 and secured a spot in tournament Sunday. The Rock met a familiar opponent in Strathroy in the semi-final and came away with a 4-1 win to book a spot in the final. Facing an Ayr team who won their bracket and handled Penetang in their semi, the Rock came to play. The Rock got on the board first and never looked back winning 4-0 in the finals to take the championship!

A fun weekend, full of good hockey. It was great to see everyone back at the rink and into hockey mode. Congrats fellas!
