SMMHA Needs Your Help!
Submitted By Rachael Torrance on Saturday, April 24, 2021
Volunteers are at the core of any minor hockey association. Whether you see them on the ice or not, SMMHA would not be able to continue without the dedicated group of many volunteers who work behind the scenes to keep this association in motion and ensure that we provide the best experience for our players. SMMHA has been fortunate to have supportive and dedicated volunteers in these crucial roles for many years to help with the planning and execution of each hockey season.

With many of our key members retiring from their positions, SMMHA is looking for new volunteers to fill various positions in our association. If we don't have people to fill these critical positions, we may potentially need to revisit some of the current programs and initiatives we offer.

At this time, we are actively seeking volunteers to fill the following positions:
  • Executive Members - including President, 1st Vice President, and 2nd Vice President
  • Initiation Program Coordinator
  • Health and Safety Committee Chair and members
  • Coaches Committee members
  • Photo Day Coordinator
  • SMMHA Directors (various terms of 1-3 years)
Your help is urgently needed to ensure the future of SMMHA in providing an enriching experience for players who love the game of hockey. The next season relies on the help of these volunteers.

Please contact Chris Boyd at [email protected] if you are interested in more information about any of these positions. Here's your chance to give back to SMMHA and help our association provide a quality hockey program for the players in our community.
