Province Wide Lockdown
Submitted By Rachael Torrance on Friday, April 2, 2021
SMMHA Players and Families,
As you know, Ontario is now moving to a lockdown for the next four weeks.  During this time, the arena will be closed and as a result, SMMHA has decided to cancel the remainder of this hockey session.   Obviously this is not how we had hoped to end the 2020-2021 season, but we hope that our players enjoyed their time on the ice.  We would like to thank all of our players, families, coaches, and volunteers for their commitment and understanding as we worked through many challenges and new guidelines throughout the season.

Information regarding fee refunds will be posted as soon as the details have been confirmed.  In the meantime, any coaches or players who have jerseys and/or other equipment in their possession should contact Lori Martin (SMMHA Equipment Manager) at [email protected] to make arrangements for returning these items.

We are anticipating a more traditional return to hockey in September and look forward to seeing our players back on the ice then.  Details about next season and registration will also be posted on the website as soon as they are available.

Please continue to check the website for information about all of these items as well as details for our AGM this year.  We are currently looking for many volunteers to help provide a safe and enjoyable return to hockey in the fall.

Once again, thank you to everyone for your time, commitment, and support during the past year.  It certainly has been challenging and we hope that everyone continues to be safe in the months to come.

Regards,

SMMHA Executive
