SMMHA Major Awards 2019-2020

On behalf of SMMHA Executive and Directors, it is our pleasure to announce the winners of the major awards for the 2019-2020 season. Although we are not able to present these awards in person right now, we hope to host a recognition event when we can safely return to the arena. 


Congratulations to all the nominees and winners for your achievements this season! We extend our best wishes to all players and families to stay safe and healthy during these challenging times. 

OMHA Awards:
1) Donald K. Mossip Memorial Award for Outstanding Goalie - tie Keifer MacNeil (Bantam BB) and Nicolas Kiestra (Midget AE)
2) Mike Mattussi Award for Most Sportsmanlike Player, on and off the ice - tie Finn Stewart (Bantam BB) and Scott McClelland (Midget BB)
3) Terry Crisp Award for Most Colourful and Hardest Working Player - Noah McLeod (Midget AE)
4) Bob Searles Award for Most Outstanding Player in SMMHA - Nathan Reay (Midget BB)

OWHA Awards:
1) Ernie Little Trophy for Outstanding Goalie - Kayley Thompson (Midget)
2) Lindsay Atkinson Memorial Award for Most Sportsmanlike Player, on and off the ice - Megan Morning (Midget)
3) Doug Hicks Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Leadership by a Player - Ally Muir (Midget)
4) Dixies Award for Most Skillful and Hardest Working Player in SMMHA - Anna Standeaven (Bantam)
