The Pethick award is given out to a worthy volunteer who has contributed in a significant way, over a period of time, to SMMHA. They have participated in initiatives, which could include coaching, committees, executive, and other volunteer tasks that have made SMMHA a better organization overall.
The Ferris Stewart award is presented to a coach in SMMHA who has demonstrated a number of traits that are an embodiment of the actions and philosophies of the late Ferris Stewart, a longtime coach in St.Marys Minor Hockey.
Attached is the criteria for the award, should you know a particularly worthy candidate.
