St. Marys Pat Payton is this year’s recipient and has spent countless hours covering local teams. Pat has dedicated countless hours to make sure that the local teams and players get their name in the paper. Even at away games, he will get in contact with the coaches to ensure he can report on the results.

Congratulations Pat on winning this award and thank you for all you do for minor sports in St Marys.  Well deserved......

About the award:

The George H. Carver Media Award is designed to show appreciation for the invaluable coverage of minor hockey in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association provided by local media outlets. During the course of any minor hockey season, players and their parents rely on local media for coverage of their teams and leagues. For this reason the OMHA has elected to profile one media outlet for their excellent coverage of minor hockey during the minor hockey season.
