Local League Teams To Get Underway Soon
Submitted By jbrock on Thursday, September 22, 2016
Over the past several weeks, tryouts for rep teams have taken place and SMMHA BB and AE teams have been populated.

For those players who will be playing Local League this year, the season gets underway this weekend with a number of initial skates.  There are few items that need attention, such as a need for coaches, other bench staff, and the like.

SMMHA will be sending more information via email to parents regarding the start dates and times for each local league division.   Despite this, people are encouraged to continue to check the website for practice times to ensure that players don't miss any opportunities to skate with their new teams.

At this time, SMMHA is still looking for potential coaches for LL divisions - Novice, Atom, Peewee, and Bantam.  Please download and complete the application form and send to Kristene McCurdy (Chair of Coaches Committee) as soon as possible.

Interested candidates will be contacted for an interview over the next week.

Thanks very much for your support of our Local League development program, and we hope everyone has a fun and safe hockey season.
