Baseline Concussion Testing - MSPAR Stratford
Submitted By jbrock on Thursday, August 18, 2016
McIntosh Sports Performance and Rehabilitation (MSPAR) in Stratford are offering Baseline Concussion Testing at their site on August 25th, from 3 to 9 pm.
From cdc.gov: "Baseline tests are used to assess an athlete’s balance and brain
function (including learning and memory skills, ability to pay attention
or concentrate, and how quickly he or she thinks and solve problems),
as well as for the presence of any concussion symptoms. Results from
baseline tests (or pre-injury tests) can be used and compared to a
similar exam conducted by a health care professional during the season
if an athlete has a suspected concussion."
MSPAR are offering an opportunity for athletes and families who are interested in determining a baseline for use in the event of a concussion.
Testing will take place on August 25 from 3 to 9 pm, at 285 Lorne Ave E, Unit #4, Stratford, Ontario N5A 6S4.
If you are interested in learning more about the testing, or would like to register, please contact Dan McIntosh at MSPAR via the following link:
