SMMHA - Call for Volunteers
Submitted By Rachael Torrance on Sun 04 10, 22
With our AGM fast approaching, SMMHA is looking for volunteers to help out with the 2022-2023 season.  We are currently looking for members to fill the following positions…

Directors:

This position is a great way to become involved in SMMHA.  Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings and voting on decisions affecting the daily operations of our Association.

Tournament Committee Members and Chairperson:

Our annual tournaments are always well-attended and are great opportunities for teams to showcase their skills.  We are currently looking for a chairperson to help organize the tournaments and committee members to help out with these events.

Health and Safety Committee:

This committee has done a tremendous job looking after specific protocols and regulations during the past 2 years.  Members are encouraged to help out as the committee continues to monitor basic health and safety concerns within SMMHA next year.

Lambton-Middlesex Local League Rep:

This position overseas all the details of our current Local League program. Responsibilities include attending meetings and updating our local membership as well as helping to coordinate team schedules.

Executive:

Members of the Executive are nominated by current directors and voted on at the AGM each year.  We are currently looking for nominations for Executive members, specifically for the 2nd Vice President position.  Responsibilities include attending executive and general meetings as well as coordinating coaching clinics and development opportunities.

Making sure that SMMHA continues to run successfully requires many volunteers who regularly dedicate their time and commitment. We would encourage any member of SMMHA to consider helping out by considering one of the positions mentioned. Please contact Kristene McCurdy at [email protected] if you have any questions and/or would like to be considered for any of these positions.
